Article 2 – Electricity

Division 1 – General Regulations

Whereas, under voltage or voltage loss on one or more phases of a three-phase electric motor(s) could result in equipment damage,

Whereas, failures in the power supply system can occur regardless of maintenance and failures in the electrical system can happen anywhere from the generating plant to the terminals of the motor(s),

Whereas, with the exposure to weather and the elements, the City of Winner cannot guarantee that all phases will operate normally at all times and likewise, the customer cannot guarantee that his/her equipment will always function normally at all times,

Therefore be it resolved, that the City of Winner will amend Winner City Ordinance #731, Chapter 4, Article 2 – Electricity, Division 1 – General Regulations to add a new section entitled Section 4.2.07 – Multi Phase Motor Protection to read:

“All protection of electric motor(s) against low voltage or voltage loss on one or more phases of three-phase electric motor(s) is at the option of the customer.  The City of Winner will not be held responsible.”

This Amendment to Winner City Ordinance #731, Chapter 4, Article 2 – Electricity, Division 1 – General Regulations shall be in full force and effect twenty (20) days after publication.
